View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun held a meeting on the afternoon of the 1st at the Government Seoul Office with representatives from major domestic mask manufacturers, nonwoven fabric manufacturers for mask filters, and specialized trading companies, the Prime Minister's Office announced.
The meeting was arranged to express gratitude to the industry for their cooperation in increasing mask production, following the implementation of the revised emergency supply adjustment measures starting from the 1st, which adjusted the public supply ratio of masks to 60% and allowed producers to export up to 10% of their production volume. It was also intended to listen to on-site suggestions regarding export and the direction of mask supply policies after July.

Prime Minister Chung stated his intention to listen to field opinions for the stable supply of masks, a core asset of K-quarantine, and the sustainable development of the domestic mask industry in the future, and asked the mask industry to continue their cooperation with government measures to overcome COVID-19.
