View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong) announced on the 1st that it is promoting rural labor support in collaboration with employees from 11 eup/myeon and various departments to assist farms facing labor shortages, such as elderly living alone, disabled farmers, and elderly farmers, during the spring farming season (May to June).
On the 26th, 30 employees from Gunseo-myeon, the General Affairs Division, and the Health Center began helping with garlic harvesting, and on the 27th, 35 employees from Sijong-myeon, the Livestock Division, and the Safety and Construction Division assisted with onion harvesting.
The farmers in Gunseo-myeon and Sijong-myeon who received labor support expressed their gratitude, saying, "We were very worried about the labor shortage ahead of the harvest season, but thanks to the Yeongam-gun officials who helped with farm work despite their busy schedules, we were able to complete the work safely."
