[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) launched a campaign to distribute 10,000 cloth masks through unmanned stands starting from the morning of the 1st, following the mandatory mask-wearing policy on public transportation.
The campaign was conducted by installing unmanned mask distribution stands at four major commuting points: Beomil Transport Terminal, Geumcheon Post Office Intersection, Court Complex, and Jeonghun Complex bus stops, allowing those in need to freely take masks.
On the day, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon personally handed out masks to residents at the sites and encouraged mask-wearing while using public transportation.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “Since public transportation is a shared facility used by many people, it can easily become a widespread transmission route for COVID-19. To prevent the spread of infections inside and outside the region, we ask all residents to wear masks when using public transportation.”
