Tobacco Sellers Who Trusted Fake IDs to Be Exempt from Administrative Sanctions Starting July
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] From July, business operators who sell cigarettes to teenagers believing fake IDs will be exempt from business suspension penalties.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 1st that as a result of proposing 13 civil regulations requiring improvement in the first quarter to the government, 3 were accepted and will be revised through the amendment of laws and notices in the second half of this year or the first half of next year.
The remaining 10 improvement proposals are under review and consultation with the relevant ministries.
According to the province's improvement proposals, from July when the 'Enforcement Rules of the Tobacco Business Act' are revised and implemented, retailers who sell cigarettes to teenagers believing fake IDs will be exempt from business suspension penalties.
The 'Underground Parking Lot Fire Extinguisher Sign Standards' will be strengthened.
The current standards for fire extinguisher signs in underground parking lots only require them to be attached in an 'easily visible place,' resulting in inconsistent placement or placement at low locations where they are often hidden by parked vehicles.
The Fire Agency partially accepted the province's proposal pointing out the need to improve fire extinguisher location signs for prompt initial response in case of fire, and decided to promote the revision of related notices by the end of the year to raise the fire extinguisher signs to 1.5 meters or higher and use phosphorescent signs.
The procedure for 'Simple Issuance of Construction Machinery Owner's Registration Certificate' will also be improved.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to amend related laws by the first half of next year so that construction machinery owners can receive the 'Construction Machinery Registration Certificate' by presenting their ID without having to fill out an application form each time.
In addition, the province is consulting with the government on four improvement tasks in the small business sector: ▲expanding the registration target for Onnuri gift certificate merchants ▲extending the display period when reporting changes in outdoor advertising permits ▲rational improvement of excluded facilities in bathhouse business ▲improvement of regulations under the Youth Protection Act.
Also, six regulatory improvement tasks in the daily inconvenience sector are under consultation with the government: ▲improving sidewalk installation standards to prevent pedestrian slipping accidents ▲simplifying identity verification when issuing family relation certificates at counters ▲expanding the scope of exceptions in pharmaceutical separation ▲expanding support for infertility couple treatment costs ▲improving birth registration regulations for children of unmarried fathers ▲rationalizing materials for temporary warehouse buildings within factory sites.
