Lee Jae-myung: "If Companies Want, We Will Support Free COVID Sample Testing"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, announced that he will conduct free sample testing for companies that request it in order to prevent business shutdowns due to COVID-19.
On the 28th, during a press conference broadcast online from the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Situation Room, Governor Lee said, "I ask companies to actively participate in quarantine measures with a serious awareness of the current situation," and promised, "Since prevention is the best measure, if companies conduct random (COVID-19) sample tests to block infection and prevent spread, Gyeonggi Province will actively support the pooling test budget."

Governor Lee especially emphasized, "If infected individuals can be identified early through random sample testing of employees and related personnel within companies, the worst-case scenario of business shutdowns can be prevented," and urged active cooperation.
