"Bucheon Logistics Center Investigation to Be Completed Today... Confirmed Cases Expected to Increase" (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] On the 28th, the quarantine authorities announced that they plan to complete a full investigation of contacts today regarding the COVID-19 cluster infection that occurred at the Bucheon Coupang logistics center.
Kim Kang-lip, the 1st General Coordinator of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters, said at a regular briefing held at the Government Sejong Complex, "We classified 4,159 logistics center workers and visitors who could have been exposed even slightly as contacts."
Coordinator Kim said, "As of the day before, tests were conducted on 3,445 people, which is 83% of the total," and added, "We expect that most of the tests will be completed today."
He also explained, "The number of confirmed cases within the logistics center is expected to increase," and "Once the full testing is completed, the cluster infection within the logistics center will be managed under the control of the quarantine management network."

Meanwhile, as of this morning, there are 69 confirmed cases related to the Coupang logistics center. Among them, 55 were directly infected, and 14 were additional transmissions caused by these cases.
