Daegu City Expands Family-Friendly Villages to 26 Neighborhoods... 6 New Neighborhoods Designated This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the morning of the 27th that it held the launch ceremony for the '2020 Daegu Family-Friendly Village Creation Project' at the Daegu Women and Family Foundation's main conference room.
On this day, representatives of family-friendly villages and officials from the Work-Family Balance Support Center, while starting somewhat later than last year due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), reaffirmed their commitment to revitalizing the project and shared successful cases of the projects carried out so far.
Since being selected for a public contest project in 2016, Daegu City has created 'family-friendly villages' in 20 villages over four years. This year, six villages (Hyeoksin, Bullo, Dongcheon, Sangdong, Gamsam, and Gosan) have been selected to promote various community projects where families and neighbors can participate together.
