KEPCO Conducts 'Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign' with Employees to Overcome COVID-19 Crisis
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) has been conducting the "Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign" for three weeks from the 18th of last month to the 5th of next month, involving employees from 15 regional headquarters nationwide to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
This campaign was launched to help alleviate the blood supply shortage, as the blood stock level once entered the "caution" stage due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and seasonal factors overlapping.
In cooperation with the Korean Red Cross, blood donation buses visit each business site to conduct group blood donations, and the blood donation certificates collected by employees will be donated to regional blood centers.
A KEPCO official stated, "The blood donation campaign is being conducted strictly following infectious disease prevention guidelines such as maintaining physical distancing in daily life, wearing masks, pre-screening for fever, and hand sanitization."
