Bodybuilder Yang Hoseok Sent to Prosecution with Recommendation for Indictment During Probation Period
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Bodybuilder Yang Ho-seok (30), a former 'Muscle Mania' champion, has been sent to the prosecution on charges of injury.
According to the police on the 26th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul referred Yang to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment, as he was previously given a suspended sentence for assault and has committed another assault incident.
Yang is accused of exchanging punches during a verbal altercation with other men in front of a club in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 3rd.
While the mutual assault was settled through an agreement between the parties involved, Yang is reportedly being charged with injury, a crime punishable even if the victim does not wish to press charges.
In April of last year, Yang was sentenced to six months in prison with a two-year suspended sentence and 120 hours of community service for assaulting former figure skater Cha Oh-reum by slapping her cheek at a pub in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
