KOTRA announced on the 26th that it will conduct the online export consulting week from the 25th to the 29th through YouTube and Naver TV Live broadcasts under the theme "The World Market Changed by COVID-19."
The World Forum 2020, which KOTRA started in 2017 to explore globalization strategies and conduct policy research for domestic companies, is being held online this year. At this forum, held under the theme of changes in the global trade environment and response strategies after the COVID-19 pandemic, Joyce Chang, Head of JP Morgan Research, gave the keynote presentation. Chang said, "COVID-19 has changed the survival methods of all industries and companies," adding, "Amid the rekindling of the US-China trade dispute, we must prepare for a new trade order such as the reorganization of global supply chains."
In the briefing on post-COVID-19 global market entry strategies, KOTRA's overseas regional heads introduced local trends and opportunity factors. Lee Ji-hyung, Head of KOTRA's North America Regional Headquarters, said, "In the US, the responsibility of China is being emphasized ahead of the presidential election, but Korea is widely recognized as a leading country in quarantine," suggesting active 'Made in Korea' marketing.
Starting from this day, online one-on-one consulting involving about 100 participants, including KOTRA export specialists and overseas trade office staff, will be conducted to resolve companies' export difficulties.
