Gyeongbuk Cheongdo-gun Provides 100,000 Won per Person in Living Security Funds to All Residents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do (Governor Lee Seung-yul) announced on the 26th that it will provide disaster living safety funds of 100,000 KRW per person to residents, separate from the government's emergency disaster relief funds.
However, low-income temporary living support recipients (basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty class) who are already receiving similar support funds, and Gyeongbuk-do disaster emergency living expense recipients (households with median income below 85%) are excluded.
Cheongdo-gun has identified about 28,000 eligible recipients and secured a budget of 2.8 billion KRW through supplementary budgeting.

Residents of Cheongdo can apply at their local eup/myeon office by June 5th to receive a 100,000 KRW prepaid card. This card can be used at card-affiliated stores in the Cheongdo area until the end of this year.
