[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, stated on the 24th that "random antibody testing should be conducted on the general public" in relation to measures against the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the same day, at a meeting with young entrepreneurs held in Suseong Alpha City, Daegu, under the theme "The Present and Future Vision of Post-COVID-19 Youth Startups in Daegu," Ahn said, "Decisions such as whether to start the school term should not be made solely based on the number of confirmed cases."
Ahn referred to cases in Germany and New York, USA, where random antibody testing was conducted, and said, "Daegu can take the lead in implementing this."

Ahn added, "In a situation where a second large-scale outbreak is a concern, we cannot continue social distancing as we are now," and said, "To say that COVID-19 has been completely overcome, we must aim for a socially and economically sustainable situation."
