A man in his 40s in Yongin tests positive for COVID-19... Contact with previously confirmed coworker
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] A man in his 40s residing in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, has been confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Yongin has increased to 74.
Yongin City announced on the 24th that Mr. A (40), living in Singal-dong, Giheung-gu, tested positive for COVID-19 that morning. Health authorities estimate that Mr. A was infected through contact with a colleague at his workplace in Gangnam-gu, Seoul (Seoul case number 668) who had tested positive.
Mr. A tested negative at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center on the 10th of this month and began self-quarantine from the 11th. Symptoms appeared on the 17th, and he underwent specimen testing at the Giheung-gu Public Health Center, which came back negative. However, on the 23rd, one day before the end of his self-quarantine, he showed coughing symptoms, was tested again, and was confirmed positive that day.
