Seodaemun-gu Supports Sports Activities for Disabled Persons at Muakjae Station
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) recently signed a business agreement with the Seodaemun Sunshine Disabled Independent Living Center and Seoul Metro Line 3 'Muakjae Station' to support disabled sports (Boccia) activities.
Muakjae Station has fewer passersby compared to other stations and is easily accessible for wheelchair users, making it a suitable space for Boccia activities.
Oh Moon-young, director of the Seodaemun Sunshine Disabled Independent Living Center, stated, "Through this agreement, we expect to promote disabled sports, improve awareness of people with disabilities, and publicize the Boccia sport."
Yoon Dong-won, manager of Muakjae Station, said, "Although the space is limited, we will actively cooperate to support wheelchair users in their sports activities," and urged, "Please always prioritize safety."
