Speaker Moon Hee-sang Hosts Dinner with President and Four Key Officials
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] On the evening of the 21st, Moon Hee-sang, Speaker of the National Assembly, hosted a dinner at the Speaker's official residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, inviting President Moon Jae-in, Chief Justice Kim Myung-soo of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Yoon Nam-seok of the Constitutional Court, Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, and Kwon Soon-il, Chairman of the National Election Commission, along with their spouses.
Han Min-soo, spokesperson for the National Assembly, held a briefing at the National Assembly Communication Office on the 22nd and stated, "From 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on the 21st, a 2 hour and 30 minute dinner took place at the Speaker's residence with President Moon and the four key officials and their spouses." It was said that Speaker Moon, who is retiring from politics, extended the invitation. The event also commemorated the 50th wedding anniversary, the golden wedding anniversary, of Speaker Moon and his wife.
At the event, Speaker Moon said, "President Moon is doing work that will be remembered in history and is striving to work well with the National Assembly during the remaining term," adding, "The fact that he personally visited the Speaker's residence at such a time will be a great encouragement not only to the political circle but also to the public," expressing his gratitude.
