Jin Joong-kwon: "Yoon Mi-hyang Likely to Become a Second Cho Kuk Incident"
"Yoon Mee-hyang: As Long as the Issue Is Not Resolved, the Morality of the Comfort Women Movement Will Suffer Irreparable Damage"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon claimed that regarding the allegations surrounding Yoon Mi-hyang, the proportional representative-elect of the Democratic Party of Korea and former chairperson of the Justice and Memory Foundation (Jeonguiyeondae), "Judging by the atmosphere, the Yoon Mi-hyang case seems to be heading toward a second Cho Kuk scandal."
On the 20th, Jin posted on his Facebook, saying, "It appears they will switch to an all-out defensive stance following reconciliation with Grandma Lee Yong-soo."
He added, "It seems the Democratic Party has roughly decided on that direction," and "There will be another round of commotion."
He continued, "Although Cho Kuk is gone, the Cho Kuk frame will continue to be used," and "Not only this time but also in the future. Look at the case of former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook. They are trying to overturn even cases that have already ended."
On the same day, Jin also cited an article titled 'Grandma Lee Yong-soo: "Yoon Mi-hyang came to me and begged, but I have not forgiven her,"' claiming, "The Democratic Party or Yoon Mi-hyang’s side engaged in media play."
He said, "It seems they tried to persuade Grandma Lee Yong-soo into a forced reconciliation and, based on that, attempted to build a front to defend Yoon Mi-hyang. But it apparently did not go well," and "If they had listened to the words of Yoon Mi-hyang’s 'players,' they should have re-verified with Grandma Lee whether those words were trustworthy. In any case, their method of fabricating the world through the media has been revealed once again. This is how the world is made," he pointed out.

In places where it is structurally allowed, corruption exists to some degree, big or small, but the problem lies in how corruption or allegations of corruption are handled."
Jin emphasized, "If everything is disclosed without concealment and handled cleanly, the organization rather gains trust," and "Conversely, even the smallest corruption, if concealed, excused, or defended, causes the organization to lose trust."
He added, "The comfort women movement is only possible on the trust of numerous domestic and international citizens who have supported and backed it," and "We must seriously consider how to revive the significance of the comfort women movement, which has fallen into a serious trust crisis due to Yoon Mi-hyang, and how to preserve its achievements."
