A man in his 20s arrested for attempting to extort money using the pretext of distributing nude photos

The Gwangju Seobu Police Station announced on the 21st that they have booked and are investigating A (25) on charges of attempted extortion for threatening to distribute exposed photos to extort money.
A is accused of attempting to extort 300,000 won from B, a man in his 20s, by threatening to send photos showing exposed parts of his body to B's family in early last month, but the attempt failed.
After receiving B's report, the police apprehended A at the scene around 7 p.m. on the 6th when he came to collect the money.
According to the police investigation, A obtained B's exposed photos through an anonymous messenger chat and contacted B's social network service (SNS) account to demand money.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated that he is also a victim and that he was threatened to bring money on the condition that his own exposed photos would be deleted.
