Completion of Parking Lot at Gyeongchang Market, Sinwol 2-dong, Yangcheon-gu
Creation of a Parking Lot with a Site Area of 916.6㎡ and a Total of 32 Spaces Expected to Alleviate Parking Shortage and Revitalize Traditional Markets
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Su-young) has created a parking lot at Gyeongchang Market in Sinwol 2-dong, a long-standing wish of market merchants and local residents, and will begin full operation starting with a completion ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 20th.
The completion ceremony was held with a minimal number of attendees, including Mayor Kim Su-young, members of the National Assembly, and city and district council members, proceeding with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and commemorative photo session.
The Gyeongchang Market parking lot (Sinwol 2-dong 446-3) was completed within one year from the project selection date through Yangcheon-gu’s active efforts, including land acquisition and construction, creating a total of 32 parking spaces over 916.6㎡.
With Yangcheon-gu’s continuous efforts to modernize traditional market facilities, Gyeongchang Market has become the third market in the area, following Sinyeong Market and Moksarang Market, to be equipped with all three major infrastructure facilities: ▲Customer Support Center ▲Arcade ▲Parking Lot.
Accordingly, convenience will be provided to local residents visiting the traditional market, which is expected to greatly contribute to increasing sales for surrounding merchants and alleviating parking difficulties in nearby areas.
