Chosun University Dental Hospital Conducts Medical Volunteer Service at Alternative School
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Dental Hospital (Director Son Mikyung) conducted a 'dental medical volunteer service' in celebration of Family Month.
According to Chosun University on the 21st, the dental hospital volunteer group, residents, and the volunteer club Catholic Student Association recently provided medical volunteer services at Haengbok School 36.5, an unlicensed alternative school established by the Catholic Gwangju Diocese Social Welfare Association.
This medical volunteer service was conducted in the dental hospital's clinic rooms, including oral examinations, tartar removal treatments, and oral health education, considering quarantine and safety measures due to the difficulty of visiting volunteer services amid COVID-19.
Additionally, the Chosun University Dental Hospital volunteer group and the Dental College Catholic Student Association decided to carry out various collaborative activities to jointly promote oral health at Haengbok School 36.5 and in the local community, practicing the social value of sharing through education and medical care.
Jo Hyunhoon, head of the medical volunteer group, said, "I hope that the students of Haengbok School 36.5 had an opportunity to experience the importance of sharing along with dental health through dental treatment."
