NongHyup Hosts the 5th 'Agri-Food Idea Contest'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-tae] The NongHyup Central Association (President Lee Sung-hee) Future Agriculture Support Center announced on the 20th that it will hold the "5th Agri-food Idea Contest" open to the entire nation to discover excellent ideas related to agri-food and foster successful startup farmers.
The Agri-food Idea Contest allows participation as an individual or a team, and only one idea can be submitted.
The detailed themes are ▲ ICT (Information and Communication Technology) convergence farming ▲ Rural convergence industry (processing technology, distribution and sales, experiential tourism, education and health, etc.) ▲ Returning to farming and rural areas startup and job creation ▲ Fields related to revitalizing the consumption of domestic agricultural products.
The contest will select a total of 9 individuals (teams) through 1st and 2nd rounds of evaluation by agri-food field expert judges: ▲ Grand Prize 1 person (team) (Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, prize money of 10 million KRW) ▲ Excellence Award 1 person (team) (NongHyup Central Association President Award, prize money of 7 million KRW) ▲ Outstanding Award 2 persons (teams) (NongHyup Central Association President Award, prize money of 4 million KRW each) ▲ Creativity Award 5 persons (teams) (Future Agriculture Support Center Director Award, prize money of 1 million KRW each).
Additionally, ideas discovered through the contest will be supported with consulting necessary for commercialization and distribution, finance, etc., utilizing NongHyup’s infrastructure for those wishing to start a business.
The submission period is until July 1, and applicants can download the submission documents from the NongHyup Future Agriculture Support Center website and submit them via email or mail.
