"Japan's Diplomatic Bluebook 'Dokdo Sovereignty' Is a Strategic Maneuver" … Gyeongbuk Province Issues Critical Statement
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongbuk Province demanded the immediate withdrawal of the unjust description related to Dokdo sovereignty mentioned in the 'Japan Diplomatic Bluebook' announced on the 19th.
In an urgent commentary on the Diplomatic Bluebook's repeated description that "Dokdo is Japan's inherent territory," Gyeongbuk Province stated, "Although Dokdo is clearly the territory of the Republic of Korea historically, geographically, and under international law, Japan's strategic maneuvering is evident as it revealed its ambition to seize Dokdo again in the Diplomatic Bluebook following the distortion in middle school textbooks last March."
It continued, "The Japanese government should actively strive to build trust in Korea-Japan relations through reflection and apology for past historical crimes," and warned, "Gyeongsangbuk-do, which has jurisdiction over Dokdo, together with its 3 million residents, will never tolerate any provocation from Japan."

Meanwhile, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is causing diplomatic friction between Korea and Japan by distorting and describing Dokdo as "Japan's inherent territory" again in this year's Diplomatic Bluebook.
