[Photo] Noh Hyun-song, Gangseo-gu Mayor, Joins the Thanks Challenge
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 19th at 10 a.m., Noh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, participated in the COVID-19 'Thanks Challenge' in the mayor's office.
The 'Thanks Challenge' is a nationwide participatory campaign started to encourage medical staff who are dedicating their utmost efforts to treat COVID-19, which has spread and prolonged not only in Korea but worldwide since 2020.
Mayor Noh Hyun-song took a photo making the sign language gesture for 'respect' and 'pride' by raising his right thumb and supporting it with his left hand, posted it on his Facebook, and wrote, "So far, we have demonstrated united strength and wisdom amid adversity to wisely cope with the disaster, and now we are being recognized as a model country admired worldwide," adding, "All of this is especially thanks to the medical staff who have devoted themselves risking all kinds of dangers on the front lines."

Mayor Noh was nominated by Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, and he nominated Han Jeong-ae, National Assembly member for Gangseo-byeong, and Jin Seong-jun, elected National Assembly member for Gangseo-eul, to continue this challenge.
