Gas Burner Ignites Scrap Yard Container Fire... 1 Person Burned
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] At around 8:32 a.m. on the 19th, a fire broke out in a scrap yard container in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.
In this fire, Mr. A (53), who tried to extinguish the fire by himself, suffered first- and second-degree burns on his arms and neck and is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
Additionally, the container and tools were destroyed, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at about 9.5 million KRW. The fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes by the fire authorities who responded to Mr. A's report.
