Gyeongsang National University-MNSI, Southeast Region's First 'Employment-Guaranteed On-Site Internship' Agreement
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The National Gyeongsang University LINC+ Project Group and Mnsi, a specialized shipbuilding and marine company, announced on the 18th that they have signed the first industry-academic cooperation agreement in the Southeast region to help companies facing business difficulties due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Mnsi was established in 2011 as a specialized manufacturer of auxiliary equipment for ship engines and land-based power generation facilities. It is currently a key partner company of Hyundai Heavy Industries, HDS Engine, and STX Engine, and is a promising small and medium-sized enterprise mainly participating in and supplying overseas power plant projects.
The Gyeongsang University LINC+ Project Group and Mnsi mutually agreed to conduct employee competency enhancement training as well as a recruitment-commitment type internship program (on-site training) for future new hires.

Jung Jong-il, head of the Gyeongsang University LINC+ Project Group (Vice President of Research), said, "This agreement will serve as a good example of mutual cooperation between local companies and the university, which are struggling due to COVID-19, by engaging in practical business collaboration to achieve technological self-reliance and the development of local companies."
