Two COVID-19 Patients in Their 80s with Underlying Conditions Die in Daegu

According to Daegu City, an 80-year-old woman receiving treatment at Kyungpook National University Hospital died at 4:04 a.m. that day.
This woman, who had been hospitalized at Daegu Munseong Hospital since February due to dementia, lung cancer, and diabetes, tested positive for COVID-19 (the 8818th case) on March 21, was transferred to Daegu Dongsan Hospital, and was admitted to Kyungpook National University Hospital on April 6.
At 5:30 p.m. the previous day, an 82-year-old man hospitalized at Daegu Dongsan Hospital died. This man, who suffered from dementia and lung cancer, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 (the 5497th case) on March 4 and was admitted to Namwon Medical Center in Jeonbuk before being transferred to Daegu Dongsan Hospital on March 21.
