Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station Conducts 'Post-Management' for Fire-Free Safe Village

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station (Chief Yang Younggyu) announced on the 15th that it visited Nokdong Village in Wolnam-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 14th to conduct follow-up management, including the replacement of standalone smoke detectors.
Nokdong Village was established as a "Fire-Free Safe Village" in 2014.
The recent follow-up management involved 10 fire officials and volunteer firefighters who carried out the following: ▲ replacing old detectors with new lithium battery detectors ▲ distributing and installing residential fire safety equipment (fire extinguishers, standalone smoke detectors) in households within the "Fire-Free Safe Village" that had not yet been equipped ▲ providing safety education on fire extinguisher usage and precautions ▲ conducting basic safety inspections and removing fire risk factors by improving the environment around the village.
Kim Yongseon, Director of Prevention and Safety, stated, "Through continuous management of the 'Fire-Free Safe Village,' we will strive to create a fire-resistant residential environment in vulnerable areas to minimize fire damage."
