View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Chairpersons of cooperative financial institutions in South Korea have agreed to participate in the government's voluntary donation of emergency disaster relief funds.
The Korea Cooperative Council's executive committee announced on the 15th at the Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, that during the executive meeting held the previous day, they decided on voluntary donations by executives at the manager level and above.
Established in July 2009, this council is a cooperative body composed of the Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association, Nonghyup Central Association, Korea Forest Cooperative Federation, National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, National Credit Union Federation of Korea, and iCOOP Cooperative Federation.
