Middle School Student Receiving Private Tutoring Stays at the Same Academy as Instructor
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] A middle school student who received private tutoring from a confirmed COVID-19 case, a private academy instructor who visited a club in Itaewon, Seoul, and an elementary school student who stayed in the same space have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Incheon City announced on the 15th that a 4th-grade elementary school student, A (10), residing in Songdo International City, Yeonsu-gu, tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the city, it was confirmed that A stayed at the same academy as a middle school student who received private tutoring from B (25), an Incheon private academy instructor who caused controversy by falsifying his identity and movement history.
A began showing COVID-19 symptoms such as abdominal pain from the 11th, and after visiting the Yeonsu-gu Public Health Center on the 14th for specimen testing, was confirmed positive and transferred to Inha University Hospital.
