Jeonbuk Police Extend a 'Helping Hand' to Families of Crime Victims
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Myung-jin] The Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency (Chief Jo Yong-sik) announced on the 14th that it held the 8th Victim Support Committee meeting to support the protection of socially vulnerable groups, attended by 12 related organizations.
At the meeting, the committee selected eight victim families who suffered from crimes (such as sexual, domestic, school violence, and abuse) and are facing economic difficulties, and discussed support measures to help their swift recovery.
As a result, it was decided to provide support worth approximately 70 million KRW for the victim families, including housing environment improvement, medical expenses, education expenses, and living expenses.
The attendees unanimously stated, "Although victims face even greater difficulties in the harsh environment where everyone is struggling due to COVID-19, it is very meaningful that there is a collaborative system in the local community to help them."
