View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongsangnam-do announced in a briefing on the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) that as of 7 a.m. on the 14th, the number of residents who visited the Itaewon area between the 24th of last month and the 6th of this month has increased to 700 through notifications from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and voluntary reports.
Among them, except for one confirmed case in the province, the 118th case (28-year-old male from Geoje) who had contact with Busan's 139th confirmed case who visited an Itaewon club, 580 tested negative, and the rest are undergoing testing.
Forty-one people who were in self-quarantine after contact with the 118th confirmed case also tested negative.
The province plans to continue voluntary reporting and comprehensive testing for visitors to the Itaewon area.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province remains at 115, with 111 patients fully recovered and discharged, and the number of hospitalized patients has decreased to four.
