Writer Im Ki-hong Appointed as the 30th Chairman of the Korea Broadcasting Writers Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Writer Im Ki-hong (photo) has been appointed as the 30th new chairman of the Korea Broadcasting Writers Association. Having served as the association's vice chairman, Chairman Im will lead the association for the next four years.
In the chairman election held for the first time in 12 years, Chairman Im pledged ▲establishing a copyright protection team and legal team to safeguard members' rights ▲signing copyright protection agreements with platform providers and supervisory agencies ▲participation in content markets and expanding opportunities for overseas advancement ▲improving copyright systems and engaging in active negotiations.
Chairman Im is the creator behind many entertainment programs such as MBC's "Saturday Saturday Night," "Stage of Friendship," and KBS's "Music Bank," "Immortal Songs," "Current Affairs Touch Comedy File," and "March of Youth."

Chairman Im said, "Having served as the association's vice chairman for a long time, I have learned and reflected a lot through previous chairmen," adding, "Based on the support I have received, I will listen more closely to members' opinions and work harder to promote the positive development of the association and uphold the rights and interests of broadcasting writers."
