Shinsegae Interfrequently Launches Athleisure Line
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Shinsegae International's lifestyle brand Jaju announced on the 12th that it will launch a specialized athleisure clothing line.
Jaju's athleisure line is conceptualized as active casualwear that can be worn not only for exercise but also as everyday clothing. It offers functionality, mobility, and comfort comparable to premium sportswear, while also featuring stylish designs suitable for one-mile wear in daily life.
The strength lies in differentiating the design and functionality of each product, expanding the range of choices so consumers can select according to their lifestyle, preferences, and purposes.
The main products, ‘leggings’ and ‘sports bras,’ are subdivided by function and material to allow users to choose suitable items based on their exercise intensity. The sports bras are made in two types: ‘high support’ for high-intensity workouts such as running and gym training, providing strong support, and ‘low support’ for low-intensity exercises like yoga and stretching or for casual daily wear.
The leggings contain Creora spandex, which offers excellent recovery and comfortable wear. They use matte fabric that creates a slimming effect and apply a high-waist band that holds the waist and side fat firmly, shaping the body. They feature moisture-wicking and quick-drying functions, excellent breathability, and do not show underwear.
Cooling leggings that can be worn comfortably in summer are also sold. Made with functional yarns, they provide a cool wearing sensation and are practical as they can be used as water leggings for water activities.
The T-shirts come in various designs, lengths, and thicknesses, from short sleeves to sleeveless and long sleeves, allowing for multiple styles. The drying function and elasticity are subdivided into ‘Light Dry,’ ‘Medium Dry,’ and ‘Air Comfort’ to match different exercise intensities. All products are made from natural cotton and eco-friendly modal materials, which are non-irritating and highly breathable, maintaining a comfortable feeling at all times.
Prices are affordable and satisfying both cost-effectiveness and emotional value, with short-sleeve T-shirts priced at 9,900 KRW, leggings at 29,900 KRW, and jumpers at 79,900 KRW. To celebrate the launch of the athleisure line, Jaju is offering a 30% discount on athleisure products and a 10% discount on all other products until the 24th, and customers who purchase over 50,000 KRW from the athleisure line will receive an eco bag on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Jaju marketing representative said, “As more people enjoy exercising in daily life, leggings fashion has become an essential item for women,” adding, “With the importance of health being emphasized more due to COVID-19, we plan to showcase a healthy lifestyle through the athleisure line.”
