[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service announced on the 11th that the 2nd "Korea Fintech Week 2020," a global fintech exhibition supporting digital financial innovation, will be held online on the 28th.
Held under the theme of "open innovation," this exhibition will feature special sessions from major fintech-related institutions and online exhibitions.
A total of 147 organizations, including fintech companies, financial institutions, and related agencies, will participate to showcase fintech digital-related content. Thirty-four major banks, fintech companies, and financial public institutions plan to hire about 40 people through online recruitment briefings.
The financial authorities initially planned to hold the exhibition from the 28th to the 30th at Dongdaemun DDP in Seoul, but switched to an online format to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
