Martial Arts - Saneun to Host 'NextRise 2020 Seoul'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoonju Hwang] The Korea International Trade Association announced that it will jointly host the global startup expo 'NextRise 2020, Seoul' with KDB Industrial Bank at COEX, Samseong-dong, for two days starting from the 23rd of next month.
Now in its second year, this event is expected to establish itself as the 'largest startup expo in Asia,' with participation from domestic and international major corporations such as Coca-Cola, Daimler, and Merck, as well as over 70 venture capital (VC) firms and around 400 startups.
Global corporations and VCs will engage in one-on-one online and offline meetups focusing on sectors expected to rise after the COVID-19 pandemic, including food tech, healthcare, gaming, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and mobility.
The online conference will feature lectures on three main themes: tech and investment trends, policy and regulatory improvements, and open innovation strategies of multinational companies. Speakers will be invited not only from leading markets such as the United States, Israel, and Singapore but also from international organizations like the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) to support the development of Korea's startup ecosystem and policy enhancements.
