Damyang-gun, Allocates 24.5 Billion Won in 2nd Supplementary Budget for COVID-19 Response
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) urgently organized an additional budget for COVID-19 response on the 8th and decided to promptly support related projects.
According to the county on the day, the total scale of the 2nd supplementary budget this time is about 455.51 billion won, an increase of 24.5 billion won (5.7%) compared to the 1st supplementary budget.
Among them, the general account is 445.49 billion won, an increase of about 24.5 billion won (5.8%) compared to the 1st supplementary budget, and the special account is 10.02 billion won with no change in amount.
The main reflected projects are ▲ 17.9 billion won for 8 items in the vulnerable livelihood support sector including 13.4 billion won for emergency disaster relief funds according to the government supplementary budget ▲ about 240 million won for 5 items in the infectious disease quarantine system reinforcement sector including 230 million won for purchasing quarantine supplies for multi-use facilities ▲ and 5.4 billion won for other current projects such as sewage treatment plant expansion.
The county plans to minimize the financial burden by utilizing surplus funds deposited in the integrated management fund to secure resources for response projects aimed at stabilizing the lives of residents suffering from COVID-19 and recovering the depressed local economy.
