Reopening of Gwangju Citizens' Forest Campground and Seungchonbo Camping Site
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Citizens' Forest Campground and Seungchonbo Camping Site are reopening.
Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 8th that, following the 'Everyday Social Distancing' policy decided by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 3rd, the Gwangju Citizens' Forest Campground and Seungchonbo Camping Site will open on the 15th.
The campground and camping site were temporarily closed on February 24th amid the spread of COVID-19.
Before reopening, Gwangju City conducted disinfection and sanitation of multi-use facilities such as restrooms, shower rooms, and cooking areas, and will allow entry only to visitors wearing masks after measuring their body temperature.
In particular, half of the camping sites (28 out of 57 sites at Gwangju Citizens' Forest Campground, 26 out of 53 sites at Seungchonbo Camping Site) will be opened to naturally maintain distancing, and full operation will be resumed once COVID-19 stabilizes.
Reservations can be made through the online reservation site starting from the 12th, and a temperature check and promotional booth will be operated at the main entrance to ensure visitors follow preventive measures.
Additionally, Sajik Park Observation Tower (on the 19th), Yeongsangang Information Center (on the 15th), and Seungchonbo Soccer Field (on the 15th) have completed internal cleaning and disinfection in preparation for reopening, with hand sanitizers to be provided at the entrances.
