Most of them were found to be contacts of Mr. A who visited clubs in Itaewon, raising concerns about the reemergence of a 'super spreader.'
Kim Kang-lip, the first chief coordinator of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, stated at a regular briefing held at the Government Complex Sejong on the morning of the 8th, "During the investigation of contacts of the 29-year-old confirmed case identified in the Yongin area, an additional 13 confirmed cases have been identified since midnight today." Accordingly, the total number of confirmed cases related to Mr. A has increased to 15, including himself and one acquaintance from Anyang.
Among the 13 additional cases confirmed after midnight, 12 were contacts from three clubs in Itaewon. Kim said, "Among the 13, one is a coworker of the confirmed patient, and 12 were confirmed to have had contact at the clubs." He added, "This group also includes three foreigners and one soldier."

Kim urged, "If you visited any of these three clubs at the same time as Mr. A or had a similar movement path, please do not go outside under any circumstances and stay at home while monitoring your symptoms."
It is estimated that more than 1,500 people visited the same clubs as Mr. A, with approximately 650, 540, and 320 visitors respectively. Due to this, concerns are growing about a large-scale cluster infection originating from the clubs.
