Jeonbuk Province Launches Full-Scale Support for Companies Participating in the 'Dodum Enterprise Development Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jeonbuk Province and the Jeonbuk Economic and Trade Promotion Agency have finalized the selection of 20 participating companies for the ‘Dodum Enterprise Development Project,’ which started this year with the goal of helping startups grow into small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and will begin full-scale support.
The ‘Dodum Enterprise Development Project’ is the first-stage support program within Jeonbuk Province’s growth ladder support system. It targets local SMEs with sales between 100 million and 1 billion KRW that have excellent technology and future competitiveness expected to achieve high growth after startup. The project aims to nurture these companies from Dodum Enterprises to Leap Enterprises, and ultimately into leading companies in Jeonbuk through customized intensive support.
According to Jeonbuk Province on the 8th, a total of 60 companies applied from February 24 to March 20, competing at a ratio of 3 to 1 for the 20 selected companies. On-site surveys and interview evaluations were conducted in April, and the final 20 companies were selected as Dodum Enterprises.

The 20 companies selected as Dodum Enterprises this year will receive various programs including corporate diagnosis and growth strategy consulting, R&D technology development support, customized technology commercialization support, and growth scale-up. In particular, proactive support will be provided to companies facing cash liquidity difficulties due to COVID-19 by lowering the company’s self-payment ratio, expanding research personnel subsidies, and prepayment of project funds.
Na Seok-hoon, Head of Jeonbuk Province’s Job and Economy Headquarters, said, “The Dodum Enterprise Development Project, implemented for the first time this year, is the first stage of the growth ladder support system. We will focus on supporting the areas that early-stage growth companies need most, helping them advance to the second stage of the growth ladder, Leap Enterprises, and ultimately grow into leading companies in Jeonbuk without sparing any support.”
