Daegu to Recruit 20 New Star Companies in 2020
[Asia Economy Yeongnam News Bureau, Reporter Lee Youngwook] The Daegu Metropolitan Government and Daegu Technopark (Daegu TP) announced on May 7 that they are recruiting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in this year's "Pre-Star Company Development Project" and "Star Company 100 Development Project."
The application period is from June 3 to June 5. Eight companies will be selected for the Star Company program, and twelve for the Pre-Star Company program. Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises based in Daegu with headquarters and business sites (factories) in the city, contributing to new technology development, sales growth, and job creation.

The Daegu Metropolitan Government will provide selected companies with customized support packages, technology innovation experts, education, and consulting services.
Lee Seungho, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Daegu, stated, "Through Daegu's strong SME development policies and collaboration with 25 participating organizations, we will do our utmost to ensure that this year's selected Star Companies achieve both qualitative and quantitative growth."
