Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry Donates Funds to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] The Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry donated a special fund of 30 million won on the 7th, providing great support to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
At the donation ceremony held at the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jeonbuk Governor Song Ha-jin, Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Lee Seon-hong, and Chairman Kim Taek-su (Honam Express) along with other Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry executives attended.
The donation fund was raised voluntarily by member companies of the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry to help vulnerable groups suffering from COVID-19 damage.
The donated fund will be delivered through the Jeonbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross to two cities and six counties within the jurisdiction of the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including Jeonju City, Namwon City, and Wanju County. It will be provided as local love gift certificates to offer some assistance to small business owners and micro-entrepreneurs in the region who have fallen into stagnation due to COVID-19.
Lee Seon-hong, Chairman of the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “Many people around us are experiencing difficulties due to COVID-19, and especially small businesses and micro-entrepreneurs are suffering greater damage. I hope that the warm support will increase starting from the small sincerity of businesspeople so that the COVID-19 economic crisis can recover as soon as possible.”
