Jeonbuk Province Prepares Plan for Gradual Reopening of Cultural Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 7th that, in accordance with the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters' guidelines related to COVID-19, it will consider and implement reopening by preparing phased measures such as capacity limits for indoor and crowded facilities, taking into account the risk level of each facility.
Among cultural facilities, all 201 libraries will reopen, but priority will be given to lending and returning books, while reading rooms will remain closed.
For museums, out of a total of 39, 24 public museums will reopen, while 15 private and university museums will decide on reopening independently. Art galleries and literary halls plan to partially reopen while complying with quarantine guidelines.
The provincial art museum will reopen part of the main exhibition hall. It will mainly proceed with individual visits and take various measures such as adjusting the number of visitors by time slot and operating a reservation system to ensure maximum dispersion of visitors.
The provincial Gugak Center will conduct pre-disinfection of the performance hall, perform temperature checks on all entrants, and arrange audience seats with a 2-meter distance in all directions.
Regarding public sports facilities, all outdoor sports facilities have reopened since the 20th of last month, and phased reopening of indoor sports facilities is being considered according to detailed guidelines.
For regional festivals and sports events, sequential reviews will be conducted later depending on environmental factors such as the movement and attendance of nationwide tourists or spectators.
Additionally, administrative order facilities such as PC rooms, karaoke rooms, and movie theaters will be allowed to reopen under strict compliance with quarantine guidelines, but administrative orders or other measures will be taken if guidelines are not followed.
In particular, considering that the COVID-19 situation has not yet been completely resolved, all reopened facilities must operate while strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines, and the province plans to implement various phased measures suitable for the characteristics of each facility.
