Opening of the Access Road from Sangmu District to Sewage Treatment Plant in Seo-gu, Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The access road from Sangmu District in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City to the No. 1 Sewage Treatment Plant will open on the 8th.
Since May 2018, Gwangju City has been carrying out construction over more than two years to install a bridge crossing Gwangjucheon Stream with a length of 0.12 km, a width of 13.5 m, and two lanes for two-way traffic, and to expand the 0.7 km riverside road.
Until now, drivers of large waste collection vehicles entering the No. 1 Sewage Treatment Plant have had to detour on the narrow riverside road, risking traffic accidents.
Nearby residents have also complained about traffic inconvenience and foul odors caused by the waste vehicles.
With the opening of this road, traffic flow for large waste collection vehicles accessing the No. 1 Sewage Treatment Plant is expected to improve, providing a safe and convenient traffic environment for nearby residents.
