30s Woman from Chungju Confirmed with COVID-19 After Entering the US... 47th Case in Chungbuk (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] New confirmed cases and reinfections of COVID-19 have occurred in Chungbuk.
According to Chungbuk Province and Chungju City on the 7th, A (37, female) from Salmi-myeon, an overseas entrant, tested positive for COVID-19 early that morning.
A was recorded as the 13th confirmed case in Chungju and the 47th in Chungbuk.
A, who traveled to the United States with her husband on the 25th of last month, was admitted to the overseas entrant quarantine facility at Munseong Recreation Forest on the same day.
A tested negative in the first test on the 26th of last month but visited a screening clinic on the 6th due to a sore throat and underwent specimen collection testing.
Since A was under self-quarantine, there was no movement route.
Earlier, B (25), an employee at a hospital in Cheongju, received a second reinfection confirmation on the afternoon of the 6th.
B was confirmed positive on February 29, was hospitalized for treatment, and discharged on the 3rd of last month.
However, B was reinfected after one week, hospitalized again, and discharged on the 22nd of last month, then remained under self-quarantine.
On the first test conducted one week after discharge on the 29th of last month, B tested negative. However, in the second test conducted two weeks later, B tested positive.
