Songpa-gu Recruiting 20 'Cybersecurity Specialist Trainees'
Recruiting 20 Trainees Until the 15th... Full Tuition Free... Practical and Hands-on Training for 1 Month with Employment Support After Completion
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is recruiting 20 trainees to complete the ‘Cybersecurity Specialist Training Course’ by the 15th of this month.
With changes in the cyber environment due to the 4th Industrial Revolution, the information security field is gaining attention as a promising job sector. Accordingly, the district signed an agreement with the Korea Information Security Industry Association (Chairman Lee Dong-beom) last April to develop cybersecurity talent and expand employment opportunities for young people by preparing this training course.
This training will be conducted over 20 sessions, combining a practical course (120 hours) and a hands-on course (40 hours).
The practical course consists of ▲system security ▲network hacking and security ▲web structure and penetration testing ▲malware analysis ▲information security consulting.
For the hands-on course, the training utilizes SK Infosec’s proprietary education program, a cybersecurity specialist company, to provide more vivid practical experience. The district stated, “We collaborated with SK Infosec to reflect the latest trends,” adding, “Using actual corporate education programs and training facilities will enhance adaptability to the field.”
Additionally, the program plans to actively connect graduates with employment by organizing mentoring with company representatives, supporting participation in the ‘Information Security Job Fair,’ and forming a consultative body with cybersecurity companies.
The training will be held throughout June at the Korea Information Security Industry Association Education Center located in Garak-dong, and the cost is fully free. In particular, it is expected to create synergy effects by reflecting regional characteristics such as Munjeong Business Valley, home to about 3,000 companies in new growth industries like IT convergence and bio, and the planned ICT Security Cluster.
Anyone aged 18 to 39 who is unemployed and wishes to work in information security jobs can apply for the training. Applicants should refer to the Korea Information Security Industry Association website (www.kisia.or.kr), complete the application form, and submit it via email (edu4security@kisia.or.kr) by the 15th.
The district will make the final selection of trainees through an interview screening on the 22nd of this month.
