Gwangju University Draws Attention with 'Employment Support Service' Provision
Placement of Employment-Dedicated Professors
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) is attracting attention by actively providing 'employment support services' to current students and graduates who are experiencing employment difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19.
According to the Gwangju University University Job Center on the 6th, a dedicated employment professor was recently added to strengthen employment guidance capabilities.
The dedicated employment professor recommends talent by continuously connecting with companies requesting employment based on students' majors and industry experience.
They also provide education on resume and self-introduction letter writing, conduct mock interview guidance, and offer recruitment information and employment materials to ensure successful employment.
In addition, the University Job Center is operating various programs to help students find jobs, such as holding small-scale job fairs.
The small-scale job fairs are held by directly requesting promotional and employment-related materials from companies in a situation where companies' recruitment briefings cannot be held due to the spread of COVID-19, and conducting the briefings independently. After the briefing, employment counseling is also provided to participating students.
