Lee Jae-yong's 'Public Apology' Today on Succession and Labor Union Issues

According to business circles, Vice Chairman Lee is expected to announce an apology statement in the afternoon, accepting the recommendation of the Samsung Compliance Committee.
This is the first time Vice Chairman Lee has issued a direct public apology since June 2015, when he apologized for the responsibility of Samsung Seoul Hospital during the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) outbreak.
This apology follows the recommendation of the Samsung Compliance Committee, chaired by former Supreme Court Justice Kim Ji-hyung.
