Kiwoom Securities Achieves Industry-Top Cumulative Return Rate in ISA Basic Investment Type
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Kiwoom Securities announced on the 6th that it ranked first in the industry for cumulative returns by model portfolio (MP) of the Individual Savings Account (ISA), known as the all-purpose account.
According to the ISA performance disclosure as of the end of March this year, announced by the Korea Financial Investment Association on the 29th of last month, Kiwoom Securities' "Basic Investment Type (Ultra High Risk)" product recorded a cumulative return of 29.40% since its launch, ranking first among a total of 204 model portfolios managed by banks and securities firms. The average cumulative return of all 204 model portfolios was 2.31%.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Kiwoom Securities' Basic Investment Type (Ultra High Risk) ISA achieved a 6-month return of 3.56%. Currently, Kiwoom Securities operates the Basic Investment Type (Ultra High Risk), Global Asset Allocation Fund Wrap, and Global Asset Allocation ETF Wrap using its self-developed robo-advisor algorithm.
A Kiwoom Securities representative stated, "Since ISA is a long-term investment product with a 5-year maturity, we will responsibly manage risks from a long-term perspective rather than being satisfied with short-term performance, to provide satisfaction to our customers."
He also added, "The government is considering measures to revitalize ISA, such as expanding the eligibility for ISA subscription," and "We plan to expand stable income and asset allocation-type products in the future."
