Miryang City Also Transitions to 'Everyday Social Distancing' Starting from the 6th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced that, following the decision of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, it will shift from 'social distancing' to 'everyday life distancing' starting from the 6th.
Everyday life distancing is a long-term and sustainable quarantine system that thoroughly continues infection prevention activities while carrying out daily life and economic and social activities.
The goal is to block large-scale transmission and prevent cluster infections even if COVID-19 infections occur in the local community. To smoothly carry out daily life and socio-economic activities through everyday life distancing, both individual citizens and the social community must strictly adhere to the quarantine guidelines as the main agents of prevention.
Social distancing, introduced on March 22 to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will end after 45 days.
However, Miryang City explained that even though it is transitioning to everyday life distancing, this does not mean the end of COVID-19, and the government's personal hygiene management guidelines and quarantine rules will remain in place, with only the mandatory measures changed to recommendations.
