Acapella Live Concert Held Before Movie Screening at Seongdong-gu Drive-In Theater
Simultaneous Discovery of New Contactless Cultural Services at Drive-in Theater with Concert and Movie Screening on May 5th at 7:10 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong Cultural Foundation (Chairman Jung Won-oh), under Seongdong-gu, has been temporarily operating a drive-in theater at Salgoti Sports Park in Seongdong-gu since March as part of psychological quarantine efforts to overcome COVID-19, screening family movies.
A special event is planned for the last day of operation on May 5.
At 7:10 PM, 30 minutes before the movie screening, a live concert will be held, allowing audiences to enjoy music and movies simultaneously in one space with the 'Unplugged Live Concert IN Drive-in Theater.'
The 'Unplugged Live Concert IN Drive-in Theater' is a live concert and movie service enjoyed inside cars through the screen. The acapella group 'Voicher,' actively performing in Korea, will participate, delivering a live performance using only lyrical acoustic sounds without electronic music, followed by the Children's Day special movie screening of 'Aladdin.'
Seongdong-gu's drive-in theater has been recognized as an exemplary case of cultural service conducted during social distancing, with about 150 cars attending each session and over 14,000 residents using the service during the operation period.
During the drive-in theater operation, Seongdong Cultural Foundation worked to create a safe and comfortable environment by preparing for emergencies with an ambulance on standby, placing hand sanitizers and thermometers at the operation headquarters, and conducting disinfection within Salgoti Sports Park.
