Sunchang-gun, 'All-Out Effort' to Secure National Budget for Next Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-jin] Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk, has launched an all-out effort, focusing administrative power to secure the national budget for next year.
On the 29th, Hwang Suk-ju, the mayor of Sunchang-gun, ordered all departments and offices to make every effort to secure the national budget at the national budget briefing meeting.
Mayor Hwang mentioned that May, when the budget proposals pass from each central government ministry to the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, is the most critical time for securing the national budget, and emphasized that executives should actively take the lead.
At the briefing meeting, discussions were held on 20 projects that require active response to secure next year's national budget.
The project currently receiving the most attention from the county is the expansion of Local Road No. 55 (Sunchang~Gurim) to four lanes, a large-scale SOC project with a total project cost of 86.3 billion KRW.
Accordingly, the county is making every effort to secure the budget by frequently visiting central government ministries and maintaining close networks with the political circles.
In addition to the Local Road No. 55 expansion project, the briefing meeting also discussed ▲ establishment of a health functional pet food industry platform ▲ establishment of a jangryu paradox platform ▲ projects related to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' rural agreement.
As the companion animal business market size shows a steep growth trend every year and the government is also paying attention to it as a new growth business sector, the county plans to establish a pet food industry platform within the region as a future growth engine.
